Founded by Andy Noble, the owner of Milwaukee's Lotus Land Records and led by Black Wolf, a legendary singer from the 70s, Kings Go Forth is a complete throwback to the heyday of soul. Comprised of ten members, the supergroup plays powerful soul with funky horns, disco breakdowns and propulsive beats. Though it is admittedly another outfit that has jumped on the soul revival train, alongside Sharon Jones, the Budos Band and Lee Fields, Kings Go Forth creates infectious music that is just as relevant today is it would have been in the era the band mimics. The quality of the band's music coupled with its tremendous stage presence, marks Kings Go Forth as a live act to behold.
