While Hooray for Earth may have started as an alternative rock band when it was initially formed in Boston, once lead singer Noel Heroux relocated to New York City, he was inspired to shift the band to a more electronic direction, drawing on his love of Autechre and Brian Eno, as he learned the ins and outs of a synthesizer. This new experimentation resulted in an epic, synth-heavy EP full of swirling guitars and crunchy beats. The EP received so much attention that the band was chosen to perform on Good Morning America and has since embarked on a national tour.
