The Australian post hardcore outfit Dream On Dreamer is a collection of six musicians who banded together in 2009. With the release of its Boomtown Records debut, the Hope EP, the band exposed its grinding metalcore sound to a national audience. Dream On Dreamer embarked on a several tours throughout Australia before entering the studio to lay down its first full-length effort. The band successfully crossed over into the American metal scene with its 2011 album Heartbound, which it released through the Oregon-based label Rise Records. After the album made a successful debut in the US, Dream On Dreamer participated in American metal band Avenged Sevenfold's Welcome to the Family Tour as well as its own 2012 headlining tour of Australia, Homebound.
