John Pena, who performs and releases music under his Heavenly Beat guise, is a singer/songwriter who creates a distinctive style of forward-thinking, modern pop. Pena served as bassist with the fairly well known Brooklyn indie rock group Beach Fossils before striking out on his own with his well received 2012 debut solo LP, Talent. Having since gone on to push his sound into uncharted pop territories, Pena has proven to be a musician who's unafraid of pushing the parameters of what's expected of him.
