Reggie Workman

Reggie Workman is an avant-garde jazz artist who uses an experimental filter to color his hard bob style. After building an impressive catalog as a sideman for various artists such as legends John Coltrane and Art Blakey, he released Conversation, his debut album as band leader, in 1977. While he would continue to collaborate with other leaders, most notably Mal Waldron, Workman turned his focused to his own material and has since been releasing distinctive experimental jazz records such as 2000's Altered Spaces.
