About
Arguably one of the best football clubs from Cyprus AC Omonia has been one of the Cypriot Championship's most lethal forces since its inception. Established in 1948, it started off by playing in regional tournaments, before entering the Cypriot First Division in 1953. While it had a difficult first season, it soon found its footing and claimed its first league title in 1961. Since then it has gone on to become one of the most dominating forces, filling up its trophy cabinet with numerous Cypriot Championships, Cypriot Cups and Cypriot Super Cups.
