About
Matthew E. White is a singer/songwriter and musician from Richmond, VA who creates a blend of neo soul and indie folk music. Having spent four years of his life in the Philippines with his missionary parents in addition to growing up on the East Coast, White developed a taste for folk music as well as the pioneering acts of Brian Wilson, Curtis Mayfield and The Band. In addition to touring and recording with the avant-garde jazz band Fight the Big Bull, he released his own solo debut Big Inner, in 2012.
