Though the genres might have divergent styles, the British nu jazz outfit, The Cinematic Orchestra has managed to incorporate various elements of both genres to create a unique sound that's original and engaging. The band was founded in the late 1990s and has had much success for its fusion of acid jazz and trip-hop.
