Benjamin Zephaniah is an English reggae musician, playwright and dub poet who incorporates elements of Rastafarianism into his writing style. Zephaniah released his first collection of poetry in 1980 and his debut album in 1982, he has since received a number of honorary doctorates from institutions like the University of North London, Staffordshire University and the University of Exeter.
