About
Alison Brown is a singer/songwriter and banjo player who hails from Hartford, CT. Weaving a textured blend of bluegrass, folk and modern jazz, she rose to attention within Americana music communities after the release of her debut album, Simple Pleasures, in 1990. Having further sharpened her skills with each release, she was a nationally recognized banjo virtuoso by the time she released her twelfth studio LP, The Company You Keep, in 2009.
