The psychedelic doom metal San Jose, California-based trio Sleep was founded in 1990 and over the course of its existence, the group has managed to push the boundaries of both the stoner metal and psychedelic doom metal genres. Though the band called it quits in 1998, Sleep has since reformed to play a number of special reunion shows and an opportunity to witness this innovative group of musicians in the flesh is an opportunity not to be missed.
