Chicago born musician Jim O'Rourke has had a respectable career as a professional musician. Weather he's releasing solo material, collaborating with other artists, playing in Sonic Youth, scoring films or producing band's recordings, O'Rourke always seems to be busy and always seems to manage to put his unique professional imprint on whatever project he touches. He has recorded with a number of different genres including experimental, folk, jazz, noise as well as rock, and even though these aforementioned genres don't sound extremely similar to one another, O'Rourke makes the styles of music sound like they're being performed by a seasoned veteran of the genre.
