Crocodiles

Former members of the hardcore bands Some Girls and The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower came together in 2008 to create the garage rock band Crocodiles. Although that band is a duo on paper, its live shows include a drummer, keyboardist and bassist who all add depth to its sound -- a 1980s ballad and 1960s girl punk-inspired blend of krautrock, psychedelic rock, doo wop and indie pop. While the duo's music is much more melodic and less angsty than its members' previous bands, Crocodiles has been known to use bizarre and often morbid lyrics, especially on their 2010 studio album, Sleep Forever.
