The Clientele is a London-based indie rock band that has had more success in the United States, despite it's English origins. Known for its reverb and feedback laden sonic aesthetic, The Clientele released its debut LP, Suburban Light, in 2000 and the release made a small splash amongst followers and connoisseurs of English indie rock. Having toured the United States several times over and built up a respectable following in the country, the band managed to get itself signed by the noteworthy label Merge records.
