When the English electronic dream pop outfit Broadcast first started making music in 1995, most people didn't know what to make of the slightly haunting sounds the group created. The band changes its style quite drastically - one minute sounding like an erstwhile jazz ensemble and a nuevo electro outfit the next - but whatever the group manages to sound like, it always maintains a high level of professionalism and treats its live shows like extremely intimate affairs.
