Stinking Lizaveta is a doom metal band from Philadelphia. The group formed in 1994 and consists of Yanni Papadopoulos, Alexi Papadopoulos and Cheshire Agusta. Stinking Lizaveta is named after one of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's characters. Heavy rock instrumentation is a characteristic quality of this power trio. It debuted with the album Hopelessness and Shame in 1996. Stinking Lizaveta has supported Clutch and Corrosion of Conformity on their tours and attracted quite some attention.
