English singer/songwriter Jarvis Cocker's characteristic wit and ability to look at the unique differences between social classes helped propel the band Pulp to become one of the biggest English acts of the 90s. After the group disbanded, Cocker decided to strike out on a solo career and his unique lyrical traits have remained intact. Though he's a bit older, Cocker has only matured and grown wiser with time, and the material he currently creates is some of the most pensive stuff he has written in his entire musical career.
