The Minus 5 is an alternative rock band from Portland, Oregon lead by chief singer/songwriter Scott McCaughey and frequently featuring R.E.M. member Peter Buck on guitar. The group released its debut album, Old Liquidator, in 1995 and since then the group has managed to maintain a fairly prolific LP output in addition to keeping a busy touring schedule.
