About
Formed under the reign of the German Democratic Republic in 1986, Die Art has had a surprisingly long and fruitful career - disbanding in 2001, but only to return in 2007. One of the early proponents of the "dark wave" movement, the quartet blends gloomy lyrics with punk guitars and hardcore drums. Die Art began touring extensively after its reunion.
