Bernd Begemann

Initially a part of the 70s punk movement, at age 15 with his band Vatikan, Bernd Begemann eventually moved over to the pop side of music, working for various German pop record labels well into his 20s. Next Begemann created the group Die Antwort, which confused audiences due to the odd combination of a harsh punk style paired with soft pop music. Begemann finally converted completely to adult alternative pop, stylistically and musically, and with his catchy German lyrics and a full backing band, has become a staple on the German pop market.
