Pantha du Prince

German producer and DJ Hendrik Weber has been making electronica under the moniker of Pantha du Prince since 2002. His minimalist house music filled with tinkling bells and eerie ambient sounds is heavily influenced by British shoegaze and Detroit techno. While Weber has been a large presence on his native country's music scene for some time, with the release of his third album Black Noise, he signed to the label Rough Trade in the UK and has now found acceptance on the UK underground electro scene as well. With his intelligent arrangements and emotive sampling, Weber sets himself apart from the scores of electro producers out there today.
