In 2009, The Black Lips toured India. During one of the first stops of the show, two of the band members kissed and one exposed his nether region. These actions incited the Indian authorities and The Black Lips ended up fleeing the country, for fear of retribution. The band took seclusion at the home of fellow garage rocker King Kahn in Berlin, Germany. While there, the groups collaborated in classic drunken lo-fi fashion and managed to record an album of material. The band's rare shows are an opportunity to witness two of the best acts in the modern 1960s garage rock revival.
