Brighton based trio Peggy Sue, formerly Peggy Sue and the Pirates, is a live act to behold. Though they create fairly quiet folk tinged with bluesy rockabilly, the two lead female singers harmonize their voices to absolute perfection, never missing a smoky note and creating a shockingly powerful presence. Adding quirky elements like an accordion, toy piano and xylophone, as well as writing lyrics full of puns and word play, Peggy Sue is a charming, intelligent band that is finally receiving the fame it deserves.
