BoA(보아) is a South Korean performer from Namyangju, Kyeongki-do. She was discovered by SM Entertainment which is one of the biggest entertainment agencies in Korea and she released her first album ID; Peace B in 2000 when she was only 13 years old. As she speaks Japanese, English and Korean, she had amazing potential to succeed in Japan and other Asian countries. When she first debuted, she faced critiques that her music is overly commercial. However, BoA kept working on her own music focusing on her talented singing and dancing ability, and eventually known as the "Queen of K-pop."
