Based on the 1970 best selling novel and film by Erich Segal, Love Story is a musical production that debuted on London's West End in 2010. The story begins when Oliver Barrett IV, a wealthy young man, meets a poor Italian girl named Jennifer Cavelleri. After the two star-crossed lovers marry against Oliver's father's will, Oliver is cut off from his family's inheritance and is left to fend for himself for the first time in his life. Forced to make ends meat, the young couple rises to the challenge and set out on a path towards a brighter future only to find out that Jennifer has developed a life-threatening condition. Scored by Emmy-winning composer Howard Godall, Love Story is an tear-jerking journey about growing up, following through on your choices and of course the supreme power of love.
