Based on the true story of Ivan Mishukov, this play by Hattie Naylor tells of an 11-year-old boy who runs away from an abusive home in the recession-ravaged city of Moscow in the 90s. Because families turned out their dogs during this time, unable to feed themselves, let alone a pet, the streets were filled with packs of wild canines. Ivan joins a pack led by Belka and considers himself no longer an evil human, but a dog. Directed by Ellen McDougall, the play runs at the Soho Theatre in London.
