Immolation is a death metal band from Yonkers, New York that was founded in 1988. Opting to pursue a unique sound that highlights instrumental virtuosity, Immolation's songs are full of dueling guitars, unrelenting drums and adept bass lines. Musicianship aside, Immolation also fills its songs with lyrical themes that oftentimes focus on a disdain for religion, especially Christianity.
