Cattle Decapitation is a hard rock band from San Diego, California that blends a defined death metal sound with a distinctively modern grindcore style to create a wholly formed and cohesive sonic aesthetic. Founded in 1996, Cattle Decapitation offers songs that focus on the mistreatment and consumption of animals as well as environmental abuse, misanthropy and genocide. The group released its debut LP, Homovore, in 2000 and the album established Cattle Decapitation as a forward thinking death metal band that isn't afraid to experiment with its sound in order to achieve its musical endgame.
