About

Born to parents of Middle Eastern descent in Brussels, Natacha Atlas spent her childhood moving around the world and absorbing various cultures. Considering her music is as much of a melting pot as her past, Atlas creates Arabic electronica with hints of reggae. Originally getting her start after getting noticed by the noted British bassist Jah Wobble, when she sang for the Balaeric Beat Crew, Atlas was soon signed to renowned English label Beggars Banquet. Atlas has released numerous hit singles and been featured on the scores of Hollywood blockbusters including The Truth About Charlie and James Bond flick Die Another Day.
