Doll and the Kicks

Brighton, UK four-piece, Doll and the Kicks, first found success after winning a BBC competition to play the Glastonbury festival in 2007. With its infectious dance punk and the group's lead singer's unmistakable style, which is often compared to that of Gwen Stefani, the band grabbed the attention of Morrissey who asked them to open for him on his 2009 European tour. After opening for Morrissey it's difficult not to be highly successful and the band has since become a BBC staple with a steadily increasing fan base.
