Based in Washington, D.C. the three-piece outfit Western Affairs is a dreampop band that was founded by singer/songwriter Alex Lee in 2009. Inspired by experimental pop and avant-garde music, the band is known for turning its live performances into full-blown ambient experimental jam sessions. With dripping synthesized beats, fuzzy guitar and beautifully understated drums, Western Affairs captures a captivating and intimate sound on its 2012 debut EP, 2000.
