About
The River Thames is one of the more historical moving bodies of water in Europe and over the ages, the river has built a name for itself as being one of the leading transporters of goods in and out of London. It came as a bit of a shock in 2006 when a seafaring whale managed to swim upstream and carouse in the Thames waters around London. People were slightly flabbergasted at the animal but they were also highly interested and during this time people gathered on the shores of the river to witness the large aquatic mammal. This fanciful story is the plot line of the play Once Upon a Thames, Story of the London Whale and throughout the story Londoners are perfectly encapsulated in comedic tones and slightly outlandish stereotypes.
