Known as one of Spain's pioneers of rock n' roll, Miguel Ríos first grabbed attention in the media when he won a singing contest for a national radio station at age 15. Convincing his mother to allow him to move to Madrid, Ríos began making television appearances, releasing hit singles, and was a Spanish superstar by 1970. After a brief stint in jail for marijuana possession, Ríos released a 20 year retrospective album that was met with critical acclaim and a steady increase in the size of his fan base. Ríos still produces new music and tours today.
