Phony Ppl is a Brooklyn, New York-based hip-hop collective that was formed by a group of friends while they were still in high school. Releasing its debut album, WTF is Phonyland?, in 2009, Phony Ppl established itself with a neo soul-influenced sound that pulled heavy influence from both traditional and distinctively modern hip-hop styles.
