By combining melodic synths, tech-soul vocals and intricate rhythms, London-based trio Monsta has latched onto a unique sound and managed to find a respectably sized fan base in the process. Releasing its debut LP in 2007, the group was one of the early adopters of the dubstep genre--helping popularize it and expose it to a widespread audience. Comprised of producers Rocky and Rufio as well as vocalist Skaar, the band has since managed to be noticed by the well-known dubstep producer Skrillex, who signed them to his OWSLA record label in 2012.
