Centered around Australian pianist Andrea Keller, her quartet was initially a quintet when formed in 2003, but when the band's bassist relocated to New York, the group decided to remain a four piece and learn to function sans bass. The group fared perfectly well without this fifth member and won countless awards in its native Australia, eventually touring throughout the world and gaining a name for itself as one of the the preeminent contemporary jazz quartets.
