The Brooklyn based garage rock four piece Obits was one of the more promising indie acts to emerge out of New York in 2006. With a sound akin to a budding rock group that's competing in a high school battle of the bands competition with no knowledge of how to play its out of tune instruments, it's almost a sure fire bet to say that the group will gain fairly widespread recognition in the esoteric and hard to navigate world of indie rock.
