Something happened to the polka genre. It has slipped into disrepair and is in need of a serious overhaul. Lucky there's the German polka fusion band Mutabor to give the erstwhile style of music a well deserved makeover. The group was formed in 1991 and by interjecting the Central European style of music with hints of ska, punk and folk, it has managed to enliven the polka genre and inspire other groups to help make the geographically isolated style of music more widespread.
