If there was an award for the most melodramatic German electropop band, Diorama would undoubtedly be one of the finalists. The group makes a slightly depressing style of music that's bolstered by adept electronic production as well as lead singer Torbin Wendt's tormented vocal approach. However, surprisingly enough, the band members don't initially come off as a bunch of saps who whine about their feelings and their broken hearts; the band makes easy to like pop songs that can only be found depressing after reading into the allegorical meanings in the group's lyrics.
