Allan Harris Band

Allan Harris is a jazz musician from New York who is known for his deep, husky baritone. While he's worked with various living legends of jazz, his most notable collaboration its perhaps the LP Convergence, which he recorded with pianist Takana Miryamoto. His 2006 album has become an iconic piece of music documentation of the role African Americans played in the US expansion during the 19th century. The record is used in classrooms across the country and has even been adapted into a musical theater production.
