This Austin-based duo brings a mean sound to the table which is part southern rock, part soul, part blues and all badass. Formed in 2006, its varied and dynamic style shows influence from varied branches of the southern blues and rock traditions. Dertybird settled in to record its first EP in 2009 after some live touring, exhibiting its roots-rock style throughout the southwest region. The band's funky, individualistic approach brought the band a solid fan base throughout its incipient days, resulting in early success with audiences.
