The Airborne Toxic Event was formed in 2006 around lyricist Mikel Jollett, a former novelist and writer of prose with no background in music. After a series of life-altering events, he began to pen songs, and gathered the members of what is now The Airborne Toxic Event in a natural progression. Integrating classical instruments with contemporary rock sounds, The Airborne Toxic Event has built up a following of unparalleled devotion. The group's poetic, searing and elegant lyrics and sophisticated musical abilities have attracted intense critical acclaim from all angles. 2010 saw the release of a documentary film, All I Ever Wanted, which followed the band's epic sold-out concert at L.A.'s Walt Disney Concert Hall.
