Peter Evan is an experimental trumpet player who operates in the realm of avant-garde and free improvisation. After studying at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, he moved to New York City and carved a niche for himself in the city's already hybridized experimental scene. On top of his solo trumpet recordings, which he's been championing since 2003, he stretches his legs as a composer and band leader for the Peter Evans Quintet and the Zebulon trio.
