Candidate is an alternative rock band from Brooklyn that describes its music as dreamrock. Mixing the 1990s grunge and britpop sounds with shoegaze and post punk, the four-piece band creates catchy indie rock tunes pumped full of rock and roll hooks. Candidate released its debut single "City of Hate," in 2012.
