Andrew Lamb Quartet

Raised in Chicago and Queens during the height of the avant-garde jazz movement, Andrew Lamb mastered the saxophone and the flute, making a name for himself in the '70s at a young age. Following in the footsteps of John Coltrane with an almost devotional expressionism portrayed through his sax, but experimenting with more unusual musical arrangements than Coltrane, Lamb soared to the top of the New York avante-garde jazz scene just as his tenor sax notes soared to the top of the venues he played. After commanding the respect of the jazz scene, Lamb began to tour with a backing quartet, and continues to do so today.
