Wearing its influence of 80's pop culture on its sleeve, Freezepop formed in Boston in '99 with the hopes that icy synth would provide a reprieve from the summer heat. Retaining this mindset even through the fall and winter months, the trio found success with the college student population in its hometown and slowly began to spread its icy cool throughout the country. Though its albums were released to mixed reviews, the band found a home in the video game market and has since sold tracks to Amplitude, Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution.
