Mashrou' Leila is an alternative rock band from Beirut, Lebanon that was founded in 2008 initially as a music workshop at the American University of Beirut. Lead by chief singer/songwriter Hamed Sinno, the group has caused some controversy due to the satirical lyrics the band oftentimes interjects into its songs.
