GiedRé, whose real name is Giedré Barauskaite, is a French-Lithuanian singer/songwriter who debuted on the scene with her appropriately titled 2011 debut LP, My First Record. Creating songs that oftentimes only feature her voice accompanied by an acoustic guitar, GiedRé tends to fill her songs with lyrics centered around politically incorrect themes and metaphors. Though not necessarily an international sensation, GiedRé is popular in her native France, where she tours regularly.
