Austin, TX-based project Stars of the Lid is an electronic music duo that creates ambient music. Composed of Brian McBride and Adam Wiltzie, the band formed in 1993 and released its debut album Music for Nitrous Oxide, in 1995. The band's minimal, drone-based sound caught on quickly in Austin's underground electronic scene, and Stars of the Lid has managed to collect a wide fan base while still remaining one of the city's best kept secrets.
