Phillip St. Ours

Singer/songwriter Phillip St. Ours spent the first half of his music career playing in folk bands from his hometown of Charlottesville VA, such as Pantherburn. He released his debut solo album, The Bear in 2010, demonstrating a much more rock and roll oriented compared to his previously preferred old-time sound. Having embraced the sound of guitar amplifiers, St. Ours creates a raw brand of folk that is rough around the edges but still rooted in his indie songwriting style.
